Sorrow Without Name

In the spring of 2018 my father died tragically and unexpectedly. I feel unmoored by this event. Sorrow Without Name creates a dialogue between the concept of documentation and an abstraction of these experiences. Sorrow Without Name is about being lost, unmoored, floating beyond the edges of what previously was known. The work meanders but focuses on the relationship between the literal and the abstract, a duality that has been heightened to extremes that were previously unimaginable.
